*INCREDIBLE SOUND* Late 1950s WFL 4-Piece Drum Kit (22/16/13 w/Matching Snare)

Rescued from a barn in North Carolina, when we found this kit we were not surprised to see cracking and fading on the gold sparkle wrap, but we *were* surprised to see her absolutely mint interiors and bearing edges.  This Super Classic four (4) piece kit is complete and includes 24" bass drum, 13" mounted tom, 16" floor tom, and matching Super Classic snare drum. 

The original WFL Speed King bass drum pedal is included with this listing in the purchase price. 

Many restorers would have to re-wrapped the kit, but we took a different approach.  The wrap is complete, fully there, and has faded from the original gold sparkle into a beautiful butterscotch color.  We carefully and gingerly cleaned the exterior of the drums (down to micro-cleaning with q-tips) to ensure the wrap was as clean as possible.  Then we applied three (3) thin layers of clear gloss acrylic to preserve and protect the wrap, giving it a "hard candy coating".  At Bloo Goose, we always side on keeping vintage drums original, and this beautiful kit was no exception.   You can see the gold sparkle wrap continue inside  the shell about 3/4" on the 13" mounted tom, which is really cool.  

ISSUES:  The drums originally were ordered with no tone mufflers.  The original owner added Slingerland tone mufflers to the snare drum and floor tom, and tried installing them in two different places in each drum.  The resulting extra holes are pictured.  On the floor tom legs with the original WFL spring-style clips, they tend to slide.
